Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site accounting position in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Accountant will be responsible for handling routine accounting operations, keeping financial records accurate, and supporting reporting, audits, and compliance work. The role also includes managing payables and receivables, tracking cash flow, and working with other teams to share financial input and improve processes.

What You Will Do

• Keep accounting records and supporting documents complete and up to date.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Carry out reconciliations for bank accounts, suppliers, and customers.
• Prepare and check accruals and prepayments at month end.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing tasks.
• Match general ledger balances and resolve any mismatches.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and management reports.
• Record payroll-related accounting entries when needed.
• Support internal and external audits by organizing accurate schedules and records.
• Follow company rules, accounting standards, and relevant financial regulations.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline.
• Professional accounting study or part-qualified status in ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or a comparable qualification is preferred.
• Prior experience working in accounting or finance.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving ability.
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
