About the Role

The team is looking for a Wedding Executive to support weddings at Glasson Lakehouse in Glassan, County Westmeath, Ireland. Candidates with prior event coordination experience are encouraged to apply. Full on-site training will be provided to the right person who is enthusiastic about weddings and excellent guest service.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for planning and delivering weddings to a high standard, ensuring each couple’s expectations are met from the first enquiry through to the end of the celebration. The role combines event coordination, sales, customer service, and smooth communication with the wider hotel team so every wedding runs seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support wedding sales by handling both incoming enquiries and proactive outreach.
- Manage each wedding from the initial enquiry stage through to event completion.
- Provide attentive, high-quality service to couples throughout the entire journey.
- Increase event revenue by recommending and selling additional products and services.
- Work closely with the hotel sales team to help meet business goals.
- Reply quickly and professionally to wedding enquiries and record all activity in the booking system.
- Follow up leads, conduct show-arounds, and participate in promotional activity to help generate bookings.
- Represent Glasson Lakehouse at workshops, exhibitions, and other event showcases.
- Hold detailed planning sessions with couples to confirm their wishes and event expectations.
- Organise and oversee wedding tastings and menu tastings from beginning to end.
- Prepare and revise menus, floor plans, and table plans as needed.
- Identify suitable add-ons, packages, and services to maximise revenue.
- Cooperate with the hotel sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Welcome clients during the event period and ensure a smooth handover to the operations team.
- Communicate all event information clearly so the operations team can deliver the wedding without issues.
- Create contracts, handle deposits, and manage wedding billing.
- Keep booking, enquiry, and availability records accurate and current.
- Share reports with management when required.
Experience and Skills
Prior wedding or event coordination experience is preferred, and hospitality background is an advantage. The role also requires strong selling ability, excellent organisation, effective time management, professional communication, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a keen eye for detail.
