Role overview

This internal listing is for a Water/Wastewater Operator III in the Infrastructure division. The role is based on-site and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Work schedule and location

The standard working hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The position is located at 401 E Lake Ave, Spavinaw, OK (SA).

Qualifications

Applicants must satisfy one of the following pathways, or an equivalent mix of education and experience under Personnel Policies and Procedures, Section 100:

• High school graduation or a GED, plus at least three years of progressively responsible experience; this experience should include semiskilled and skilled work in major repair or heavy construction, with some lead-work responsibility.
• Alternatively, candidates may qualify with one year of experience as a Water/Wastewater Operator II.

Licenses and certifications

• A valid Oklahoma Class A Commercial Driver’s License with the required endorsements must be obtained within six months of hire.
• A valid Class D Water/Wastewater Operator’s License issued by the Department of Environmental Quality is required within six months of hire.
• Confined Space Entry and Trenching & Shoring certification must be completed within six months of hire.
• Some positions also require certification in Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (S.C.B.A.) within six months of hire.
