Role Overview
The Vice President of Project Operations Technology is a full-time remote leadership role focused on improving technology-driven project operations across the organization. The position is accountable for building, refining, and scaling the processes and systems that support investment operations, client service activities, and internal teamwork. It involves guiding cross-functional project groups, setting and monitoring operational performance indicators, and making sure work is completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business priorities. The role also partners with senior leadership on technology direction, oversees vendor partnerships, and assesses tools that strengthen efficiency, data accuracy, and visibility. In addition, the VP will lead ongoing improvement efforts, define operating standards, and coach team members to improve delivery and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, rollout, and refinement of operational processes and systems that support technology-enabled project work.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects move forward smoothly and stay aligned with strategic objectives.
- Set, monitor, and report on operational KPIs to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with senior leadership to shape technology roadmaps and prioritize initiatives that support business goals.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate platforms that improve workflow efficiency, information quality, and transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement programs and establish repeatable best practices across project operations.
- Mentor and support team members to strengthen execution quality and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee delivery of complex initiatives so they are completed on time, within scope, and with appropriate financial discipline.
Qualifications
- Solid background in operations management, including process design, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and P&L management for technology or operations initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder and customer service skills, with the ability to provide responsive, practical support.
- Capability in strategic planning and aligning project operations technology with long-range business objectives.
- Deep project management experience, including complex implementations and change management across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience deploying and administering enterprise technology platforms such as workflow, data, or portfolio management tools.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven leadership in operations, technology, or project management, preferably in financial services or a similar environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or certifications such as PMP or Agile are advantageous.
