Role overview
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is seeking a Virology Technician to join the Berrimah Veterinary Laboratory within the Biosecurity and Animal Welfare work unit in Darwin, Northern Territory. The role is focused on supporting a nationally accredited veterinary virology service that contributes to disease control and prevention for primary industry clients, including aquaculture, across the Northern Territory.
Key purpose
This position exists to deliver hands-on technical support for the laboratory’s virology services, helping maintain quality and compliance while assisting the wider effort to detect, manage, and prevent animal diseases.

Remuneration
The total remuneration package is $80,313 to $90,562, which includes a base salary of $70,859 to $79,902.
