Description de l'emploi
About the Company
Hampr is a growing laundry-as-a-service business built to take laundry off customers’ plates. The company collects dirty laundry, washes and folds it carefully, and delivers it back, often within 24 hours. Its services support households, businesses, and properties nationwide, with the goal of becoming a brand people trust and a service they rely on.
Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations will serve as the top leader for Hampr’s physical operations. This person will oversee current facilities and logistics, guide the launch of new locations, and help turn a fast-scaling startup into a strong national operating network. The role begins with an existing operating base that includes a facility in Los Angeles, another opening in Escondido, and an established facility manager and field team. From there, the leader will build the organizational structure, systems, and standards needed to scale.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can think strategically while still stepping into the day-to-day work when needed. The position reports directly to the CEO.
Core Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of physical operations across all current and future markets, including facilities, logistics, field teams, and supporting process systems.
- Manage and scale live facility operations along with pickup and delivery logistics, while leading the teams already in place.
- Drive new facility launches from site selection completion through construction, hiring, training, and opening.
- Set standards for OPL and full-service laundromat operations, while creating partner support playbooks that improve partner performance in measurable ways.
- Build a practical robotics and automation roadmap by identifying high-value use cases, sequencing implementation carefully, and reshaping labor and workflows around real operational gains.
- Create, roll out, and continuously refine SOPs and operating processes that improve consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Recruit, lead, and grow a strong operations leadership team, including facility managers, logistics leads, and field supervisors.
- Own the operations P&L, including budgeting, cost control, and unit economics, while protecting service quality.
- Oversee operational requirements for systems such as route optimization, dashboards, and live visibility tools, in partnership with the technology team that builds them.
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team on expansion strategy, readiness planning, and growth into new geographies.
- Maintain compliance with safety, labor, and regulatory standards across all facilities.
- Use data, performance metrics, and frontline feedback to identify waste, improve performance, and raise the operational baseline.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, including 5 or more years at director level or higher managing multi-site operations.
- A demonstrated record of scaling operations in logistics, fulfillment, facilities management, or services, ideally with direct experience opening new locations.
- Strong financial judgment with direct ownership of budgets, cost management, and unit economics.
- Deep experience building processes and standardizing operations, including creating SOPs from the ground up and using them to drive improvement.
- Comfort evaluating and working with automation and robotics, with the ability to prioritize investments based on impact and evidence.
- Strong KPI and performance management skills, including the ability to define metrics, use dashboards, and hold teams accountable to results.
- Experience leading and developing layered operations teams across multiple locations.
- A background in logistics or supply chain, such as route planning, fleet operations, or last-mile delivery, is a plus.
- An entrepreneurial, adaptable mindset that thrives in ambiguity and moves quickly without losing precision.
Who You Are
- You are a builder who likes creating from scratch and shaping something that will still be visible long after the work is done.
- You take ownership of results and do not wait for direction before solving problems and delivering outcomes.
- You bring energy, persistence, and a strong sense of grit to your work.
Physical Requirements
- Willingness to travel frequently across Hampr markets, with travel expected up to 30% of the time.
- Comfort working in laundry facility environments that may be warm, humid, and industrial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around facilities for extended periods during visits and audits.
Benefits
The benefits available for this role currently include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, a phone allowance, and equity for full-time employees. Additional benefits are expected to be added over time as the company grows.
Compensation
The base salary range is $195,000 to $240,000 for candidates in Southern California and $170,000 to $210,000 for candidates in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Pay is tied to the geographic market where the employee works.
This position is bonus eligible at 40%, and the total cash compensation range is $273,000 to $336,000 annually.

Hampr is an equal opportunity employer and values an inclusive workplace. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
