Compensation and benefits
The base pay is £40,906 per year. A Saturday supplement of £53.66 per shift applies for weekend work. There may also be a welcome bonus of £1,500, subject to terms and conditions. Additional benefits include 22.5 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with holiday entitlement increasing with service and the option to buy extra leave. You will also receive a company-matched pension, financial benefits, PPE and image clothing including overalls and steel toe-capped boots, a personalised annual training and development plan, and access to discounts on shopping, technology, travel, days out, and family social activities.
What the job involves
You will be part of a team responsible for keeping a large mixed fleet in service, including conventional fuel vehicles and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs. The workshop environment is modern and fully equipped, with both specialist tools and shared equipment available. The role includes working on a broad range of makes and models as the fleet continues to be modernised.
Key duties

- Use your own toolkit to complete routine maintenance and repairs on light and heavy goods vehicles.
- Work with specialist tooling and shared workshop equipment as required.
About you

- You have hands-on experience as a vehicle technician across a broad range of vehicles, such as LCVs and HGVs.
- You hold a full manual UK driving licence; an HGV licence with trailer experience would be preferred.
- You maintain strong standards in your work and focus on completing tasks effectively and correctly.
- You can adapt to a flexible shift rota and are willing to support the team when needed.
