Role overview
The Network Operation Center (NOC) team is hiring a Transportation Representative for AMZL Central Operations to support last-mile transportation programs. The role focuses on keeping transport operations running smoothly by coordinating with internal teams and external partners, managing settings in Amazon systems, and helping deliver strong customer outcomes without delaying execution.
What the role involves
This position sits within the central command and control function for transportation execution across the Amazon supply chain. It supports timely movement of freight from vendors to fulfillment centers and from fulfillment centers to carrier hubs. When exceptions arise, the team works to resolve issues, keeps stakeholders informed, studies recurring patterns, and suggests or automates process improvements to make network operations more efficient.
What success looks like
The right candidate will be able to interpret requirements, analyze data for patterns and trends, communicate clearly in both written and spoken form, and take ownership of process improvements until they are implemented. A solid understanding of logistics and a customer-first approach are important for this role.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or an MBA, and be comfortable working with Excel at an advanced level, including macros, INDEX, conditional lists, arrays, pivots, and lookups.
Preferred background
Experience extracting and working with data from databases or other data management systems using Excel, Access, SQL, or similar tools is preferred.
