About the Role
This opportunity is with Mercor, a company that connects top-tier creative and technical professionals with AI research labs. The organization is based in San Francisco and counts Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey among its investors.
The position is for a Training / onboarding / L&D Evaluator working remotely on a contract basis. Compensation is set between $80 and $120 per hour.
Role Overview
In this role, you will review AI-generated outputs using subject-specific quality standards, spot issues related to accuracy, visual presentation, and overall clarity, and share detailed written feedback that can be acted upon. You will also partner with domain experts to keep evaluation standards aligned and support ongoing quality improvements in AI model performance.
Responsibilities
- Assess AI-produced materials against detailed, domain-based quality criteria.
- Detect mistakes related to facts, aesthetics, and presentation.
- Write feedback that is clear, organized, and easy to implement.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to maintain consistency and quality across evaluations.
- Manage work independently in an asynchronous setup while meeting deadlines and helping improve model outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Training / onboarding / L&D.
- Strong command of English, either native-level or professional fluency.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with particular strength in Slides.
- A master's degree or higher from a well-regarded institution is preferred.
