Job Summary
MOBCO Group is looking for a seasoned Technical Office Engineer – Architecture to support its project team in Khobar. This position focuses on the technical side of architectural works, with responsibilities spanning shop drawings, material submittals, design coordination, quantity take-offs, and project documentation.
The role contributes directly to project delivery by making sure architectural work stays aligned with project requirements, is coordinated with all involved parties, and is executed according to approved timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, check, and coordinate architectural shop drawings as well as as-built drawings.
- Study IFC drawings, project specifications, and related requirements to confirm correct implementation on site.
- Prepare and issue material submittals, technical submittals, RFIs, and method statements.
- Liaise with consultants, site teams, subcontractors, and other disciplines to resolve technical and coordination matters.
- Assess architectural details to spot design clashes, buildability issues, and cross-discipline coordination gaps.
- Provide technical support and clarification to site teams, including practical engineering solutions when needed.
- Carry out quantity take-offs and support material planning and procurement efforts.
- Manage architectural coordination with structural, MEP, and interior design teams.
- Track design updates and ensure revisions are recorded and implemented correctly.
- Take part in technical meetings and assist with progress follow-up activities.
- Verify that work complies with project specifications, quality requirements, and approved drawings.
- Support handover packages and project close-out documentation.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
- Applicants should have 7–10 years of experience in technical office and architectural engineering work.
- Experience on building construction projects is essential.
- Hands-on knowledge of preparing shop drawings, handling technical submissions, and coordinating design is needed.
- A solid grasp of architectural detailing, construction techniques, and finishing works is expected.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams is important.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in architectural technical office functions.
- Background in contracting companies is preferred.
- Strong experience in architectural shop drawings and technical coordination is essential.
- Ability to start immediately or after only a short notice period is required.
- Work experience in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries will be considered an advantage.
