Role Overview

This contract-based remote role is for a Tagalog language specialist who can translate, adapt, review, and refine Tagalog content while preserving accuracy, tone, and cultural fit. The position also involves quality checks, language guidance, and support for building reusable language assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate, adapt, and review Tagalog materials so they remain precise, natural, and culturally appropriate.
• Work closely with project managers and other language professionals to deliver work on time and according to project expectations.
• Edit and polish written content to improve clarity, correctness, and consistency with style rules.
• Advise on proper Tagalog usage, including idioms, expression choices, and regional language differences.
• Help create and maintain glossaries, language references, and style documentation.
• Perform linguistic quality checks and contribute to review cycles aimed at continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Native-level or near-native fluency in Tagalog, along with strong English proficiency.
• Demonstrated background in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills, paired with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while handling several tasks at once.
• Solid understanding of Tagalog grammar, spelling conventions, and stylistic norms.
