Role overview

The Storekeeper will oversee the complete materials flow for a site in Baku, Azerbaijan, ensuring stock is received, stored, protected, issued, and reported in line with company standards. The role supports oil and gas operations and requires close coordination with internal teams, suppliers, vessel management, and corporate departments.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a comparable storekeeping position within the oil and gas sector. Fluency in both English and Azerbaijani is essential.

Technical and operational knowledge

The position calls for strong familiarity with electronic systems and software used for data processing and stock control. A good understanding of international transport rules and procedures is needed to track the movement and arrival of materials. The candidate should also be knowledgeable in the correct methods for handling, lifting, and storing materials, as well as be comfortable using Microsoft Office.

Key duties

This role involves managing the full lifecycle of consumables and spare parts, from request and receipt to storage, preservation, and distribution, while following quality, safety, and company procedures. The storekeeper will also coordinate authorizations for material requests, verify incoming deliveries against orders, document any shortages or damage, and ensure items are placed in the appropriate storage area. Additional duties include managing material issue and return processes, supporting periodic inventory checks and slow-moving stock reviews, preparing and packing shipments with accurate packing lists, and keeping vessel management and corporate teams informed through regular updates and reports. The role also includes tracking supplier delivery timelines, escalating delays when needed, and carrying out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibility
