About the role
Uber is hiring a Strategic Operations Manager for its Germany Country Team in Berlin. The team focuses on helping shape the future of mobility in one of the company’s most important growth markets. This position is designed for someone who can connect long-term strategy with hands-on execution, working across product, marketing, and city operations to improve rider and driver experiences.
In this role, you will work on high-priority growth opportunities, manage relationships with major German venues such as the Uber Arena, and help turn partnerships into measurable business impact. The role blends strategic thinking, commercial negotiations, operational planning, and cross-functional coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of new growth initiatives, from identifying opportunities and shaping ideas to launching and scaling them toward revenue goals.
- Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships with stadiums and event venues, including commercial discussions and collaboration on pickup design, signage, and rider flow.
- Create and roll out consumer-facing partnership campaigns that generate demand and can be replicated across Germany.
- Define and monitor important performance metrics such as conversion, reliability, and return on investment, then use the findings to improve outcomes.
- Work closely with leadership and internal teams to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day operational excellence.
Requirements
- Strong experience handling complex, cross-functional projects and turning unclear needs into structured, scalable execution plans.
- A practical, execution-oriented mindset with the ability to convert strategy into clear action steps and measurable results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for working with both external partners and internal teams.
- Business-level German proficiency (B2) and strong English communication skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technology, management consulting, or a fast-growing operational environment.
- Solid analytical ability and comfort using data to guide recommendations and decisions.
- SQL experience is a strong advantage, along with the willingness to learn it quickly if needed.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment while keeping sight of the broader strategy.
