About the role

Mecca is looking for a Social Media Content Creator who is passionate about social platforms, understands what captures attention, and can turn concepts into content that sparks conversation. The role is offered as a rolling 6-month fixed-term contract and involves close collaboration with the marketing, social, and venue teams.

The successful person will help bring brand ideas to life while ensuring all content stays aligned with Mecca’s tone, visual identity, and wider brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create eye-catching content for Instagram, Facebook, and newer social platforms.
• Support and coach venue teams so they can produce stronger social content for their own channels.
• Work with internal stakeholders to turn ideas into content that drives impact.
• Track industry and regulatory updates and adjust ideas so they remain fully compliant.
• Contribute to venue-led and digital campaigns through creative storytelling.
• Make sure every piece of content reflects Mecca’s brand guidelines, voice, and visual style.
• Identify emerging trends early and adapt them into relevant branded content.
• Handle content from initial concept through final delivery in a fast-moving environment.
• Use engagement, reach, and conversion data to guide content choices and improve performance over time.

What you’ll need

• A strong enthusiasm for social media and a clear understanding of what performs well.
• Experience creating digital content, with video-first experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of social platform trends, content formats, and audience behaviour.
• The ability to use performance data and insights to influence creative decisions.
• Confidence balancing creative ideas with brand consistency.
• Comfort working with multiple stakeholders in a collaborative way.
• The flexibility to work quickly and respond to new opportunities at pace.
