Description de l'emploi

Role overview

The Salty Fox is seeking a Social Media Content Coordinator to own the brand’s day-to-day social presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn. This role covers the full content cycle, from ideation and filming through editing, publishing and audience engagement.

You will help shape the brand each day through Reels, TikToks, feed posts, stories and behind-the-scenes capture. The position focuses on growing audience reach and interaction across channels, reacting quickly to emerging trends, and creating paid social assets that deliver strong performance.

Working from briefs prepared by the Brand & Ecommerce Manager and the marketing calendar, you’ll be expected to deliver with creativity, speed and consistent brand alignment. As the team member most closely embedded in daily operations, you’ll also serve as the brand’s on-the-ground observer, capturing moments, products and stories that fuel the wider marketing function.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep the daily posting rhythm moving on Instagram and TikTok, and maintain the agreed weekly schedule for Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
  • Create Reels, TikToks, in-feed posts, stories and carousel content in line with the marketing calendar.
  • Check every asset against the Brand Style Guide and Brand Tone of Voice before publishing.
  • Build behind-the-scenes content from the office, warehouse and photoshoot environments into the overall content plan.
  • Proactively develop founder-led content ideas.
  • Monitor trends every day across Instagram, TikTok and related platforms.
  • Produce trend-responsive content within the relevant window, typically 24 to 48 hours.
  • Record and review trend performance each month with the Brand & Ecommerce Manager.
  • Keep the content library organised and up to date in Google Drive or a similar system.
  • Spot high-performing content and adapt it for use across other channels.
  • Provide imagery and video assets to the Brand & Ecommerce Manager when needed for email, web or paid campaigns.
  • Manage proactive engagement across social platforms, including commenting on and interacting with the profiles of ideal customers as directed by the Brand & Ecommerce Manager.
  • Respond to comments and direct messages within agreed timelines and refer customer service issues to the CX Lead.
  • Engage with relevant accounts through comments, shares and replies on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Track growth on each channel against agreed targets.
  • Identify brands and creators with complementary audiences and reach out to them.
  • Coordinate collaboration agreements within the framework approved by the Brand & Ecommerce Manager.
  • Produce promotional images and videos to support collaborations.
  • Share collaboration results, including sales attribution, audience growth and traffic, with the Brand & Ecommerce Manager.
  • Research, pitch and contact content creators and influencers proactively.
  • Find suitable creators on Instagram and TikTok and approach them for gifted partnerships and long-term relationships.
  • Prepare clear creator briefs covering product selling points, deliverables and reference or inspiration clips, aligned to the marketing calendar.
  • Coordinate collaborator contracts within the approved framework.
  • Review creator content for brand fit before it is published on the brand’s own channels.
  • Provide feedback and constructive edits to creators so draft content matches the brief and brand standards.
  • Maintain a database of recurring creators and align their content with upcoming promotions and product launches.
  • Brief Social Media Consultants on the marketing calendar and required deliverables.
  • Review and approve the Social Media Consultants’ reel calendar.
  • Create Instagram reel covers to keep the feed visually cohesive.
  • Give regular feedback to consultants to help improve content performance.
  • Create Meta ad creative to specification and within the required turnaround time.
  • Produce variants for testing when requested.
  • Resize and adapt creative for the required platforms and ad formats, including feed, story, reel and other placements.
  • Ensure the brief is approved by the Brand & Ecommerce Manager before passing creative to the Digital Advertising Consultant.
  • Review paid creative performance each month and apply learnings to future briefs.
  • Prepare monthly social reports covering followers, engagement rate, reach and top-performing content, and share them with the Brand & Ecommerce Manager.
  • Turn insights into practical improvements in content pillars, formats, posting times and creator briefs.
  • Review Meta advertising reports with the Digital Advertising Consultant and carry learnings into the next round of paid creative.
  • Build and maintain the brand’s social presence for the US market ahead of the 3PL go-live, including localisation for US holidays, audience preferences and tone, plus time-zone-friendly posting.
  • Track US audience growth and engagement against agreed benchmarks during the first 90 days after go-live.
  • Contribute ideas in campaign planning and creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Support customer loyalty and retention initiatives.
  • Provide flexible day-to-day support to the wider marketing team.

Requirements

  • A portfolio showing short-form video work from concept through filming, editing and posting, especially Reels and TikToks.
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube, with an understanding of what performs best on each platform.
  • Confidence on camera and behind the camera, depending on the brief.
  • A strong sense of visual storytelling and the ability to preserve brand consistency while still adding personality.
  • Hands-on experience with Canva, in-app editing tools such as CapCut, the Reels editor and native TikTok tools, plus basic video editing software; Adobe Creative Suite is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to spot emerging audio, formats and cultural moments quickly and act on them.
  • Strong copywriting skills for captions and social content that reflect the brand voice.
  • Good time management and the ability to produce content daily while also coordinating creators and collaborations.
  • Self-driven working style, with the ability to work independently, take feedback and iterate fast.
  • Interest in jewellery, fashion or Apple Watch accessories.
  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related area is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant social media content production experience, ideally with a consumer brand.
  • A proven social content portfolio, particularly short-form video on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Minimum VCE level education or equivalent.
