Role overview
Arthur Mallon Foods is seeking a proactive and well-organised Site Trainer to help strengthen employee capability and support business growth. The role focuses on identifying learning needs, delivering practical and engaging training, and making sure colleagues have the knowledge and skills to carry out their jobs safely and effectively.
You will partner with managers across the business to plan training activity, keep records accurate, monitor compliance, and ensure all mandatory learning and certifications stay current. Key responsibilities
- Maintain, refresh and actively promote the Nvolve training platform.
- Deliver induction training, including manual handling, food safety and the related paperwork.
- Run training on SOPs and work instructions, making sure all training remains current and does not expire.
- Support the creation and improvement of internal training programmes for SOPs and work instructions.
- Work with Production Leaders to identify development needs among existing employees, monitor progress and raise any issues.
- Keep training compliance on track by ensuring certifications, required training and refresher training are all valid and up to date.
- Record training results, produce management reports, and maintain detailed training documentation such as attendance logs, certificates and training matrices.
- Flag any employees who do not successfully complete required training.
- Register new hires on the clocking system.
- Prepare for factory audits and take part in them, ensuring training materials and records are always ready for review.
- Arrange First Aid training, including initial and refresher sessions, and monitor expiry dates.
- Coordinate FLT, Shunter, Reach Truck and Stacker training, while tracking and highlighting renewal dates.
- Liaise with external trainers or agencies when specialist support is needed.
- Create, prepare and order training aids and supporting materials.
- Look after in-house training rooms, facilities and equipment.
- Plan and book training sessions in a way that keeps disruption to production to a minimum.
- Keep training content current and aligned with best practice.
Skills and qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation ability.
- Capability to build training materials and work with training software.
- Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with a training management system is preferred.
- A Train the Trainer qualification is required.
- Previous exposure to BRC standards is an advantage.
