Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time Site Superintendent for an on-site position in Jasper, Alberta. In this role, you will lead day-to-day site operations, making sure construction work is completed safely, on time, and in line with project drawings, codes, and quality expectations. You will coordinate trades and subcontractors, manage site sequencing and logistics, and keep materials, equipment, and inspections moving smoothly.

Key Duties

The position includes tracking work progress, addressing issues that arise on site, maintaining accurate documentation and reports, and upholding standards for safety and site cleanliness. You will act as the main on-site point of contact and communicate regularly with project managers, clients, inspectors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

Applicants should have experience overseeing construction sites, including managing trades, planning schedules, and maintaining quality control on residential or commercial work. A strong understanding of construction techniques, building regulations, safety requirements, and practical site management is important. You should be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and other project documents.

Additional Requirements

This role calls for effective leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to develop productive working relationships with crews, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are needed, especially in areas related to safety, efficiency, and risk control. Basic comfort with project documentation tools such as email, spreadsheets, site reports, and digital plans is expected, and you should be open to learning new software when needed.

Preferred Background

Previous work as a Site Superintendent, Foreperson, or in a similar construction leadership position is highly desirable. A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to work on site in Jasper, AB on a full-time basis. A trade certificate, construction technology diploma, or an equivalent mix of education and experience is considered an advantage.
