Role Overview
This position focuses on managing and expanding business relationships with clients while supporting revenue growth, portfolio quality, and compliant deal execution within a banking environment.
Market Research and Business Development
- Study market conditions to discover, initiate, and build durable client relationships that support business and income goals.
- Hold regular discussions with important customers, promoters, and prospects to sustain business momentum and increase wallet share.
- Drive proactive growth efforts with both new and existing clients across identified sectors and market opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Win new client relationships by understanding financial requirements and recommending suitable banking products and services.
- Manage relationships end to end, including need analysis, advisory, structuring, term negotiation, and deal closure.
Portfolio Handling and Deal Structuring
- Work with Regional Segment Heads or Team Leaders to structure and restructure transactions so they align with client financing needs.
- Coordinate on portfolio management activities to better understand customer requirements and address their financial goals effectively.
Revenue and Business Growth
- Lead efforts to achieve regional targets for earnings, assets, liabilities, and credit quality within agreed budgets.
- Support sales and business operations to improve regional profit and loss performance in line with overall banking objectives.
- Identify focused business opportunities and ensure smooth coordination between customers and relationship managers to deliver the planned results.
Credit Appraisal
- Take part in evaluating proposals through analysis of income statements, balance sheets, financial ratios, cash flows, management risk, industry risk, and economic conditions.
- Partner with Team Leaders to assess commercial, financial, and economic risks and opportunities while maximizing cross-sell potential.
- Support the execution of programs that assess risk and opportunity so the portfolio strategy stays aligned with industry and relationship quality standards.
Documentation and Compliance
- Ensure all transactions follow approved guidelines and maintain high standards for documentation, customer communication, and process compliance.
- Coordinate with relevant business units to help transactions move forward efficiently and with minimal delay.
