Role Overview
Metazyber Technologies is looking for a Senior Linux Administrator who can lead and support large-scale enterprise Linux environments. This role is based onsite in the Doha Metropolitan Area and calls for deep hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, VMware-based Linux systems, Microsoft Azure, automation, patching, and core infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux servers built on RHEL and Oracle Linux.
- Handle Red Hat Satellite operations such as patch deployment, system provisioning, content control, and compliance-related reporting.
- Deploy, operate, and resolve issues for Linux workloads running in Microsoft Azure.
- Carry out Linux system administration across VMware and Azure environments.
- Manage OS patching, security strengthening, performance optimization, and troubleshooting activities.
- Oversee Linux storage, networking, user permissions, and system-level security controls.
- Contribute to incident handling, problem resolution, and change management processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical records, runbooks, and operational documentation.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 8 years of practical experience in Linux administration.
- Strong, hands-on expertise with RHEL and Red Hat Satellite.
- Experience administering Linux servers in Microsoft Azure.
- Working knowledge of Ansible and Bash scripting.
- Experience with Linux patch management, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Background
- Exposure to Oracle Linux, RHEL, and other Linux distributions.
- Experience managing Linux virtual machines on VMware vSphere.
- Experience supporting Linux workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with KVM virtualization is considered an advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- RHCSA or RHCE
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
