About the Opportunity

Partners Life is hiring a Senior IT Business Analyst with a cyber security focus to support a significant fixed-term programme aimed at improving enterprise-wide security capability.

The programme includes seven parallel workstreams and needs someone who can get up to speed quickly, work with little supervision, and bring order, consistency, and alignment across the initiative.

You will help keep the programme connected from a business standpoint by linking stakeholders, interpreting business impacts, and confirming that delivered outcomes are workable for the organisation.

Although security architects and technical specialists will provide support, this is not a technical BA or systems delivery position. The role calls for a senior, advisory-style professional who can influence across the business and help teams implement cyber security changes in a practical way.

This opportunity is well suited to an experienced BA contractor or senior consultant who enjoys stepping into complex environments, working independently, and delivering visible results.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the seven programme workstreams so requirements, approach, and outcomes remain consistent end to end.
• Work with senior leaders across areas such as People & Culture, Risk, Operations, and Technology to understand business impact and shape workable solutions.
• Run workshops and working sessions independently, helping groups reach clarity, decisions, and progress.
• Convert cyber security goals into business-friendly requirements, processes, and controls.
• Act as the link between business teams and technology teams so requirements are clear, usable, and aligned to delivery.
• Provide structure and insight around identity and access management, workforce access, and platform or process impacts.
• Offer practical guidance to delivery and technical teams so they can interpret and apply business needs without taking ownership of build or development work.
• Keep communication open and transparent so risks, dependencies, and decisions are visible to all relevant stakeholders.
• Work with a high level of independence across the programme.

About You

You are a senior Business Analyst with strong credibility, likely coming from consulting or contracting, and you are comfortable entering complex, changing programmes and adding value quickly.

You are naturally a connector and interpreter, bringing together business and technology stakeholders and creating alignment without needing formal authority.

You take a business-first view and understand the effect of change on people, processes, and operating models, not just systems. You also understand how technology teams operate and can guide them without getting pulled into technical build detail.

You are confident across multiple workstreams, willing to challenge where needed, and able to drive results on your own.

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong background as a Senior Business Analyst in large IT or cyber security programmes.
• Experience in consulting or contract engagements, with the ability to build credibility quickly and deliver outcomes.
• Proven ability to work across several workstreams or programmes at the same time.
• Strong facilitation skills, including leading workshops and driving decisions with minimal oversight.
• Ability to turn technical or cyber security concepts into clear business requirements and processes.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, data protection, and information governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing ability with senior business and technical audiences.
• Self-directed, results-oriented working style with the ability to sustain momentum in a complex programme.
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall, or mixed delivery environments.
