Role overview

This position is for a senior IT leader responsible for building and running internal IT and information security for the MENA and Europe regions as a single, connected function. The goal is to keep the organization secure, compliant, and efficient while the company scales internationally.

The role is based in Germany and is described as hybrid in the broader company context, but the provided job data indicates onsite employment. It reports directly to the founders and is suited to someone who enjoys working at both strategic and operational levels.

Key responsibilities

You will own the company’s internal IT landscape across regions, including systems, tools, identity and access management, devices, and employee onboarding and offboarding.

You will also lead information security and compliance efforts, helping the organization work toward and maintain standards such as ISO 27001, TISAX, and SOC 2, while also supporting GDPR and UAE data protection requirements.

Another major part of the role is building and leading an international IT team spanning Europe and the Middle East.

You will manage IT vendors, oversee cloud spend and governance, and keep the tooling stack and integrations aligned with business needs.

The role also includes supporting enterprise and government client due diligence by handling security questionnaires and audits, where IT security becomes a direct enabler of new business.

In addition to leading, you are expected to stay close to execution: implement systems, solve technical issues, and then build scalable processes and team structures around them.

Candidate profile

The company is looking for someone with several years of experience in IT management or IT and security leadership, preferably in a fast-growing international technology environment.

A solid background in information security and compliance is important, especially exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, TISAX, and GDPR. Familiarity with UAE data regulations is an advantage.

You should also have experience leading distributed teams across countries or regions.

Hands-on experience with modern cloud and SaaS environments is required, including identity solutions such as SSO and MDM, as well as endpoint security.

Fluency in English and German is mandatory.

You should be willing to work across both the MENA and Europe regions.
