About Forge

Forge builds technology for the private markets, with a focus on liquidity solutions, proprietary data and insights, custody services, and a marketplace designed to make private investing more transparent and accessible. The company supports employees, employers, and investors by enabling private share sales, pre-IPO liquidity programs, and access to growth opportunities in private unicorns.

Guided by values of boldness, accountability, and humility, Forge works with the people and teams behind major innovations across sectors such as space travel and artificial intelligence. Demand for its platform and financial solutions is driving continued team growth.

Role Overview

Forge is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join its Analytics team in San Francisco. This is a high-impact individual contributor position focused on translating data into strategic direction across Product, Marketing, Finance, and senior leadership.

You will use analytics to influence product decisions, build and refine datasets, automate recurring reporting, create predictive models and attribution frameworks, and help shape how the company measures and grows its marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use SQL, Python, and related analytics tools to uncover business opportunities, evaluate performance, and turn data into recommendations that guide product and company strategy.
  • Create predictive models and forecasting tools in Python to support growth planning, product efficiency, and marketplace strategy using both internal user data and external go-to-market data sources.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, datasets, and reporting systems in tools such as Snowflake, Segment, Looker, and Heap so stakeholders can make informed long-term decisions.
  • Streamline repetitive reporting and analytical workflows through Python-based automation.
  • Present insights through clear narratives, charts, and executive-ready presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strengthen data quality, consistency, and documentation so analytics can scale reliably across the organization.
  • Plan and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments in LaunchDarkly to measure product impact and support product development.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in analytics, product analytics, data science, or a closely related area.
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including complex querying, query tuning, and performance optimization.
  • Strong Python skills with at least 2 years of experience using it for analysis, automation, visualization, forecasting, or modeling.
  • Practical experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau, along with data warehouses like Snowflake.
  • Solid knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing, ideally with exposure to LaunchDarkly and Heap.
  • Proven ability to build predictive models and apply statistical methods in a business setting.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working through ambiguous business questions by turning them into technical analyses.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience partnering across functions and managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.

Additional Requirements

Physical demands for the role include using a computer for 8 hours per day and exchanging detailed information verbally and in writing.

Compensation

For candidates living in San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for this position is $98,000 to $100,000+, plus annual bonus. Final compensation may differ depending on location, experience, expertise, bonus, and other factors.

Background Checks

Any offer made will be followed by screening that includes verification of employment and education, as well as state and county criminal history checks, fingerprinting, and a drug test.
