Overview

Honeywell is hiring a Security Technician for its Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison (EGRP) site in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This is a full-time, on-site role within a secure government contract setting, and relocation support is available for suitable candidates in Australia.

Role Summary

In this position, you will support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-scale project delivery of security systems across the EGRP facility. The work is varied and requires both technical skill and the ability to operate independently while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Duties

Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on Honeywell and third-party security equipment.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve faults in security head-end systems.
Set up software for EBI security modules, DVM, ECAS, CCTV, and IP intercom systems.
Deliver responsive technical assistance and strong customer service to on-site stakeholders.
Keep site records, technical logs, and quality assurance documentation accurate and up to date.
Support minor to mid-sized security installation projects, including coordination of subcontractors where needed.
Ensure all tasks are completed safely, professionally, and in line with contract obligations.
Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance-related reporting.
Participate in the after-hours callout roster when required.

What Honeywell Is Looking For

A valid Security Installer Licence.
ACMA Open Cabler Registration.
Certificate III in Electronics & Communications, or an equivalent trade qualification.
Solid background in electronic security systems.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability.
The ability to work on your own and balance multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
A strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
