Role Overview
This full-time Section Manager position in Chester is a hands-on retail leadership opportunity within a busy, high-volume ZARA store. The role is centred on running your own section with a strong commercial focus, improving performance through product management, team leadership and a strong customer journey.
Key Accountabilities
As the person responsible for your section, you will guide sales, service and standards while helping your team perform at a consistently high level. The role requires quick decision-making, strong awareness of trading trends and active leadership from the shop floor.
- Take ownership of sales, productivity and key performance measures for the section.
- Review product and performance information to spot opportunities for improvement.
- Respond quickly to customer demand and changing trading patterns.
- Maintain healthy stock levels through effective replenishment and availability routines.
- Provide an efficient, welcoming and engaging customer experience.
- Keep visual presentation and operational standards at a high level.
- Ensure service areas operate smoothly and effectively.
- Coach, support and motivate team members on a daily basis.
- Develop team capability through feedback, training and clear direction.
- Help foster an inclusive, respectful and energetic team culture.
- Support store processes and day-to-day operational routines.
- Maintain standards related to health and safety, security and compliance.
- Act as an example of sustainable working practices.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience leading people in a fast-moving retail setting, along with strong commercial judgement and confidence in using KPIs. You should be proactive, able to solve problems quickly, and remain steady, resilient and flexible in pressured situations. A genuine interest in fashion, products and customer experience is important.
