Key responsibilities

The role centers on maintaining sanitation excellence across the facility and supporting safe equipment cleaning and reassembly. You will also be expected to follow company safety standards and complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

• Maintain sanitation practices that meet or exceed site standards.
• Carry out daily sanitation work, including dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and putting equipment back together.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and supervisor instructions.
• Handle chemicals safely and use protective equipment as required.
• Work effectively in a physically demanding, fast-moving plant environment.

Working conditions

• Ability to work in warm environments.
• Exposure to indoor conditions such as heat, cold, dust, and loud noise while using PPE.
• Comfort working with raw meat, including chicken.
• Regular standing for 8 to 10 hours and performing repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to crouch, bend, twist, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, and move through the plant.
• Comfortable working in smaller or confined areas.
• Use of large power hoses and facility equipment weighing up to 60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Comfortable handling chemicals and working in PPE.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures during sanitization.
• Detail-oriented approach to work.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred experience

• Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
