This opportunity is based in Plymouth, Indiana, where a growing Dot’s Pretzels operation is expanding its team. The sanitation role is focused on keeping the plant’s common areas and processing spaces clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation expectations.
Pay and schedule
- Starting wage: $21.16 per hour
- Pay is issued every two weeks
- Night shift is available
- Shift length: 12 hours, from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
- The plant may run on different shift patterns depending on candidate preference and site requirements
- One schedule option is a 2-2-3 rotation: 2 days working, 2 days off, 3 days working, 2 days off, 2 days working, 3 days off
- This rotation typically results in 3 to 4 working days per week

Key responsibilities
The position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing either the plant’s shared areas or the processing room. Work includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and removing trash as needed.
Daily duties
- Restock and manage supply rooms when needed
- Prepare and fill cleaning chemical proportions as required
- Operate cleaning and material-handling equipment such as hand jacks, manlifts, booms, floor scrubbers, KaiVac units, and related tools
- Carry out periodic deep-cleaning tasks to meet third-party audit standards and follow direction from the Sanitation Manager
- Apply and understand 5S principles
- Record all cleaning and sanitation work performed
- Clean computers, control panels, extruder motors and gear boxes, exterior electrical cabinets, electrical lines, carts and containers, ladders, fan filters and vents, walls and floor mats, sink and wash-pit areas, mixer platforms, die storage rooms, pump stations, and scales in the processing area

Work environment and physical demands

- Regular lifting and moving up to 25 lbs is expected
- Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 lbs is required, along with passing an annual lift test
- Safety gear may be required or recommended, including eye protection with side shields, hearing protection, and hair/beard nets
