Role Summary
The Risk Coordinator (HSE) will be responsible for supporting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards across the assigned site area. This includes making sure procedures are followed, risks are controlled, and personnel remain competent, informed, and properly equipped to work safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Check that workers follow HSE requirements, including task procedures and proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Take part in HSE investigations, inspections, and incident reporting for the assigned area.
- Help implement all Client and TR HSE plans and procedures related to risk coordination.
- Confirm that site personnel have the knowledge, competence, and equipment needed to perform their jobs safely.
- Deliver site safety inductions.
- Supervise, coordinate, and train team members assigned to the area.
- Monitor the safe use of machinery, equipment, and other site resources.
- Oversee upkeep of temporary facilities such as power, potable water, industrial water, and toilets, while also maintaining housekeeping and hygiene standards in site buildings.
- Enforce controls for the storage, handling, and use of hazardous chemicals and substances.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported properly.
- Inspect worksites, equipment, vehicles, machinery, and PPE to confirm safety and compliance.
- Check that supporting documents and certifications, including Permits to Work, are accurate and up to date.
- Provide HSE training related to tasks, equipment, and site procedures.
- Train personnel to lead or join risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Keep records, reports, and other documentation aligned with company and regulatory HSE requirements.
- Apply the Permit to Work system whenever it is required.
- Coordinate safety barriers, warning signals, and access control when unexpected hazards arise.
- Stop any activity immediately if there is an imminent danger to people or the environment.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant HSE experience in large EPC, Oil & Gas, or industrial construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Possession of an internationally recognized HSE qualification.

This role is based in Ras Laffan, Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar.
