Role overview
The Resource Planner position is based in Chennai and focuses on building medium- to long-range schedules for service operations. The role is responsible for coordinating operational resources, making scheduling decisions that support service delivery, and resolving conflicts when business needs, staffing availability, and customer requirements do not align.
What you will do
- Build shift plans for the service workforce and raise follow-up work orders after subcontractor service completion.
- Share proposed schedules through standard manual communication channels.
- Evaluate optimized scheduling choices and arrange field service appointments.
- Assign resources for service orders.
- Set up customer maintenance plan events.
- Create, modify, or cancel customer maintenance plans as needed.
- Arrange field service events and create, update, or discontinue preventive maintenance plans.
- Handle requests for service parts and tools.
- Manage scheduling conflicts and exceptions.
- Modify service workforce shifts, identify the right service contact, and determine the preferred communication method.
- Send schedule proposals using automated communication tools.
- Plan time without customer interaction and maintain resource records.
- Allocate additional service resources, track preventive maintenance delivery and scheduling performance, and close subcontractor work orders.

Required profile
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- At least 3 years of customer support experience, or experience working as a Client Service Representative.
- Strong written and reading communication abilities.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Comfortable communicating in both English and Hindi.
