Research and Development Chemist - AI Trainer

This opportunity is for an experienced chemistry professional who can support AI training by testing chatbot responses, checking the logic behind answers, and identifying issues that affect model quality. The work centers on evaluating how well the system handles chemistry-related prompts and improving output accuracy.

The role calls for expert-level chemistry knowledge. Suitable backgrounds include research and development chemistry, formulation science, development chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, and process development chemistry.

Key work

• Pose complex chemistry questions to AI chatbots and review the answers they generate.
• Assess model responses for correctness, reasoning quality, and overall performance.

Candidate profile

• Advanced fluency in English, at a native or bilingual level.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of general, organic, and physical chemistry.
• A Master's and/or PhD that is current, ongoing, or completed is preferred, though it is not mandatory.

Compensation is processed through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD will be handled by PayPal. Applicants are not required to pay any fee. This role is open only to candidates based in Canada. The engagement is as an independent contractor.
