Role overview

Heritage Lifecare is hiring a Registered Nurse for Rosewood Lifecare, a 64-bed care home in North Linwood, Christchurch. This is a full-time permanent role where you will help deliver meaningful, person-centred care to residents in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Working arrangement

• Permanent full-time position
• At least 32 hours per week
• Shift coverage includes mornings, afternoons, and weekends

Key duties

In this role, you will contribute to the wellbeing of residents through clinical care, leadership, and relationship building. Each day may look different, but the purpose of the work remains the same: improving quality of life for residents.

• Guide and support a team of Caregivers to maintain high standards of care
• Create, review, and track care plans
• Complete clinical evaluations and assessments
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families, and GPs
• Assist the Clinical Services Manager and Care Home Manager with daily operations

Experience and capability

The employer is looking for a nurse with prior Registered Nurse experience, either in New Zealand or overseas. A current APC is required, along with strong communication, people, and problem-solving skills. You should be approachable, positive, and committed to helping others. Teamwork, empathy, a drive for continuous improvement, and a solid understanding of health and safety practices are also important.
