O'Reilly Consulting Group is recruiting on an exclusive basis for a receptionist to support Hugo Loonam Motors, a long-running family-owned motor dealership in County Offaly, Ireland. This role sits at the front desk and is central to delivering a positive, professional first impression for customers and visitors. In addition to customer-facing duties, the position includes day-to-day office administration and coordination support.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner.
- Answer incoming calls and route enquiries to the correct team or department.
- Handle customer questions promptly and courteously.
- Support appointment booking and scheduling when needed.
- Enter customer details accurately and keep records up to date.
- Monitor and manage email communication and general correspondence.
- Perform routine administrative and filing tasks.
- Work closely with colleagues in sales, service, and parts.
- Keep the reception space neat, organised, and inviting.
- Provide wider administrative assistance to the team as required.
Essential requirements
- Some prior experience in reception, administration, or another customer-facing position.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good interpersonal ability.
- Well-developed organisational skills and close attention to detail.
- A polished, approachable, and professional attitude.
- Comfort using computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage several tasks in a busy setting.
- Positive mindset and willingness to contribute as part of a team.
Desirable experience
- Background in the motor trade.
- Exposure to customer management or appointment booking software.
- Experience in a busy office environment.
