Job Overview
This position is suited to a fresh graduate who is eager to build a career in quantity surveying. You will be part of a team delivering façade, interior fit-out, and construction projects in Singapore, with strong exposure to practical project and cost management work.
What You Will Do
- Support the team in building cost estimates, preparing budgets, and putting together tender bids for construction work.
- Carry out quantity measurements and take-offs from drawings and project documents.
- Help review supplier and subcontractor quotations and compile cost comparison summaries.
- Assist with progress claims, payment certificates, final account preparation, and variation order documentation.
- Track project expenditure and keep cost records accurate and up to date during the full project cycle.
- Support purchasing and procurement tasks while coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Join project discussions and site inspections to confirm progress and verify measurements on site.
- Keep organised records of contracts, quotations, invoices, and cost-related reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other internal and external stakeholders to help projects run smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or another relevant field.
- Applications from fresh graduates are welcome.
- Prior internship exposure in quantity surveying or construction will be considered an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of quantity take-off methods, cost estimation, and construction contract basics.
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar quantity surveying tools will be beneficial.
- A careful, accountable, and quality-focused approach, with the ability to meet deadlines.
