Job Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will oversee government-facing processes and keep the company aligned with Saudi labor, immigration, and regulatory obligations. In addition to PRO duties, this role will support the HR team with daily administration, employee records, onboarding, and employee relations to help operations run smoothly.

Government Relations and PRO Duties

  • Manage official transactions and submissions with the relevant government portals and authorities, including MHRSD, Muqeem, Qiwa, Absher, the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce, ZATCA, and any other applicable bodies.
  • Handle employee visa processing, work permits, Iqama issuance and renewals, employee transfers, exit/re-entry visas, and final exit formalities.
  • Track and complete renewals for company licenses, registrations, permits, and other official records on time.
  • Liaise with government departments and external agencies on regulatory matters and compliance needs.
  • Keep up with Saudi labor and immigration rules to ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records for all government transactions and employee documents.
  • Support Saudization/Nitaqat requirements and related workforce reporting.
  • Act on behalf of the company with government entities whenever representation is required.

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with recruitment tasks such as interview coordination, candidate follow-up, and onboarding paperwork.
  • Draft employment agreements, offer letters, and other employee communications.
  • Update and maintain employee files and HR databases.

  • Coordinate medical insurance enrollments, additions, removals, and renewals.
  • Support payroll preparation by ensuring employee information and documents are current.

  • Assist in rolling out HR policies, process updates, and compliance initiatives.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
  • Prepare recurring HR and government relations reports for management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a similar discipline is required.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a PRO or Government Relations Officer in Saudi Arabia is expected.
  • Background in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG, or distribution is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of Saudi labor law, immigration procedures, and government portals is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with visa processing, Iqama management, and employee relations is needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is required.
  • Arabic and English fluency in both written and spoken communication is required.
