About the Role
AOP Marine Agency is looking for a Public Relations Officer to support the organization’s day-to-day administrative work, maritime licensing activities, and coordination with public authorities in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Act as the company’s representative at the relevant government departments, such as police stations, MOHRE, immigration, airports, health authorities, and ministries, whenever required.
- Handle PRO-related tasks including visa applications, renewals, cancellations, work permits, and CICPA/security pass arrangements.
- Coordinate with embassies and consulates to secure business visas or crew entry visas.
- Support company registration and licensing activities with bodies such as the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, and the Economic Department.
- Keep track of changes in UAE laws and regulations that may impact the business.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all government-related procedures.
- Protect the confidentiality and security of company and employee information at all times.
- Assist internal teams by ensuring prompt processing of required government documents.
Requirements
- Prior experience with a marine agency will be considered an advantage.
- A valid UAE driving licence is compulsory.
- Must be fluent in Arabic.
- Strong spoken and written English skills are required.
- Should be open to travelling and working across all emirates as needed.
- Knowledge of UAE government systems and portals such as MOHRE, ICP, and GDRFA is needed.
- Experience with CICPA applications and permits for offshore vessels and crew is preferred.
- Exposure to MOEI, FTA-related licensing, and marine navigation permit processes in a marine agency setting is an added plus.
- High accuracy, strong record-keeping, independent working ability, teamwork, discretion, reliability, and solid networking and communication skills are important.
