Role overview
This opportunity is for a PSP Financial Analyst based in Ireland. The position focuses on financial control and analysis for payment operations across several providers. You will work closely with transaction data, provider statements, and internal stakeholders to keep payment flows accurate, efficient, and well-documented.
The role blends reconciliation, operational monitoring, cost analysis, and provider communication in a dynamic international setting. It is suited to someone who can handle large datasets, spot inconsistencies, and turn financial insights into practical improvements.
Key accountabilities
- Handle ongoing communication with payment service providers and ensure day-to-day cooperation stays aligned with agreed contract terms.
- Track balances across multiple payment platforms and maintain tight control over financial operations.
- Review provider charges, FX rates, commissions, and contract terms to uncover savings opportunities and strengthen efficiency.
- Match transaction data with provider reports, look into variances, and resolve reconciliation issues.
- Support the timely movement of customer payouts and company withdrawals while addressing payment-related problems.
- Keep payment process records up to date and suggest practical improvements based on financial and operational findings.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, finance operations, payment operations, reconciliation, or a similar finance-focused role.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, especially for handling large datasets and building financial reports.
- Hands-on experience with reconciliations, balance monitoring, transaction review, and financial reporting.
- Solid understanding of financial workflows, cost control, and management accounting basics.
- Strong analytical thinking, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to identify and resolve financial mismatches.
- Comfort working independently, juggling multiple priorities, and adjusting quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear communication skills for working with both internal teams and external payment partners.
- Written English at an intermediate level or above.
- Exposure to payment service providers, fintech, banking, e-commerce, retail, or iGaming would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar BI tools, plus basic SQL knowledge, will be considered a plus.
