Description de l'emploi

Role overview

This opportunity is being shared for a partner organization that will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Project Manager - Facility Engineering Support located in the United States.

In this role, you will direct the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex construction and facility engineering initiatives that support sensitive government operations. You will act as the main interface between project stakeholders and government representatives, guiding work from early planning through final closeout while keeping projects aligned with federal rules and contract obligations. The position calls for a seasoned project leader who is comfortable in high-security, mission-critical settings and who can steer multidisciplinary teams through demanding infrastructure work.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for government stakeholders and provide leadership on project execution, staffing, and contract-related issues.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle for construction and facility engineering efforts, from planning and scheduling to execution, closeout, and post-completion support.
  • Coordinate schedules, staffing needs, resource planning, and contractor activities to support on-time delivery.
  • Evaluate design packages, technical submissions, construction schedules, and other project documents to confirm quality, compliance, and contractual fit.
  • Create practical responses to construction problems, operational disruptions, and unexpected site conditions while reducing risk.
  • Assist acquisition work by drafting Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, technical evaluations, contract change documents, and related materials.
  • Track contractor performance, quality control, milestones, budgets, and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, government staff, and other stakeholders to keep goals and deliverables aligned.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, project status updates, performance metrics, and briefings, and contribute to quality assurance and progress meetings.
  • Promote accountability, safety, customer focus, and operational excellence across all assigned initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 10 years of project management experience in commercial or government construction projects.
  • Prior support experience at the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), including facility engineering, campus operations, infrastructure modernization, or construction management.
  • Working knowledge of secure government facilities, construction standards, acquisition procedures, and federal project delivery.
  • Experience preparing acquisition materials such as SOWs, IGCEs, technical reviews, and contract administration documents.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, balance multiple priorities, and complete projects on time and within budget.
  • PMP certification or a comparable project management credential is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience handling project risk and operational issues.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain access credentials for government facilities; experience supporting the United States Secret Service and an active DHS or DoD clearance are highly desirable.

Benefits and perks

  • Competitive annual compensation of $150,000 to $175,000.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Flexible scheduling and remote work arrangement.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Employer-paid life insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Paid time off.
  • Support for professional development and continuing education.
