Production Technician / Senior Production Technician

Role overview

Technoform is hiring a Production Technician / Senior Production Technician to support extruder line operations in Singapore. The role focuses on maintaining stable production performance, helping with equipment upkeep, and ensuring output, quality, safety, and efficiency targets are met.

Production operations

• Assist the Production Engineer in tracking and improving extruder line performance, productivity, quality, and overall efficiency.
• Keep an eye on key process variables such as temperature, speed, pressure, output, and product dimensions, and report any unusual readings quickly.
• Offer first-line electrical and mechanical support for production line and equipment issues, and pass complex faults to the Production Engineer.
• Maintain accurate records of production figures, machine status, downtime causes, and quality-related observations to help with troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Maintenance support

• Perform regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and simple preventive maintenance on extruder line equipment.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical maintenance activities by supporting production, tooling, and external service teams when needed.
• Escalate equipment issues, damaged or worn components, unsafe conditions, and possible breakdown risks to the Production Engineer.
• Help manage critical spare parts, tools, and consumables needed for production and maintenance work on the line.
• Use basic mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and machine manuals to support fault finding and maintenance tasks.

Teamwork and workplace practices

• Collaborate with production and tooling teams to meet targets for output, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Follow safe working methods, use the required PPE, and maintain good housekeeping standards in the production area.
• Work with the Production Engineer to suggest practical ideas that can improve line efficiency, equipment reliability, quality, and safety.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Production Engineer.
