Role overview
Geely Auto Deutschland is looking for a Procurement Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities in the local market from its Frankfurt location. The position centers on sourcing for marketing, trade marketing, and logistics-related categories, with responsibility for ensuring purchases are completed efficiently, economically, and in line with business goals.
What you will do
- Drive procurement activities across the company’s local market, with emphasis on marketing, trade marketing, and logistics.
- Source indirect goods and services in a way that balances speed, value, and business needs.
- Work with teams across operations, marketing, sales, and finance to understand demand and keep purchasing aligned with company strategy.
- Research, assess, and shortlist suppliers for transport, warehousing, promotional work, advertising, and events, using standards such as quality, dependability, pricing, and compliance readiness.
- Lead contract negotiations and secure beneficial terms covering price, delivery, quality, and service levels.
- Maintain supplier relationships, track performance, and address any issues or disputes during execution of agreements.
- Create and execute initiatives that reduce cost and improve efficiency across supply chain and marketing-related purchasing.
- Review market developments and automotive industry trends to spot opportunities for improvement and sustain competitiveness.
- Take part in tendering and proposal reviews, making sure quality, cost, and timing requirements are met.
- Build procurement policies and procedures, including approaches such as single-source purchasing and supplier recommendation processes, while maintaining transparency and efficiency.
- Keep procurement records, purchase data, and contract documentation accurate, current, and compliant with internal rules and applicable legal requirements.
Experience and profile
This role calls for a senior procurement professional with a strong background in purchasing operations. Prior exposure to the automotive sector is preferred. The ideal candidate should bring sharp analytical thinking, solid communication ability, and confidence in both spoken and written English and German. Strong proficiency with office software is also required.
Additional information
The employer expects at least 10 years of procurement experience. The position is based in Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany and follows an on-site work arrangement.
