Role overview
Helic & Co is looking for a careful, proactive procurement professional to handle buying activities and supplier coordination. The position focuses on identifying the right sources for goods and services, managing negotiations, and making sure deliveries arrive on schedule without sacrificing quality or cost control.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess suppliers by comparing pricing, quality standards, and delivery reliability.
- Lead discussions with vendors on pricing, contractual terms, and commercial agreements.
- Raise purchase orders and oversee the smooth procurement of required goods and services.
- Build productive supplier partnerships and address any issues that arise.
- Keep track of inventory levels and work with internal teams to anticipate future requirements.
- Follow company procurement policies and ensure all purchasing activity stays compliant.
- Measure and report procurement outcomes such as savings achieved and supplier performance.
- Research market developments to find potential new suppliers and emerging trends.
- Coordinate with finance and operations teams to keep procurement aligned with budgets.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Well-developed negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Hands-on experience using ERP platforms or procurement software.
- Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work on your own and juggle several priorities at once.
Preferred skills
- Understanding of strategic sourcing and vendor management practices.
- Previous exposure to contract administration.
- Comfort with cost analysis and budgeting concepts.
- Procurement certification such as CPSM or CIPS is considered an advantage.
