Role overview
This part-time Processing Officer position is based at George Bellew Road in Christchurch and involves early-morning work from Monday to Friday, 2:00 am to 6:00 am. The role pays $26.75 per hour from 1 July, plus a night allowance of $3.29 per hour.
In this role, you’ll help sort, combine, and dispatch parcels and freight so they are ready for courier delivery. The work supports NZ Post’s wider purpose of helping deliver for New Zealand through teamwork, technology, and a strong operational focus.
What the job involves
The position is centered on processing mail and freight efficiently and accurately within a busy branch environment. You’ll be part of a diverse team working toward shared delivery goals while maintaining a safe and productive site.

The ideal applicant is reliable, works well in a team, and is comfortable with physically active work. You should be attentive to detail, have practical geographic awareness, and be able to lift up to 25 kg.
