Process Development Chemist - AI Trainer

Role Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced Process Development Chemist to support the training of AI models. The work involves testing chatbot responses, reviewing their reasoning, and identifying issues that can help improve model quality.

About the Background Required

This opportunity is intended for someone with strong chemistry expertise. A Master's or PhD that is currently underway or already completed is preferred, though it is not mandatory. Suitable backgrounds may also include Research and Development Chemist, Formulation Scientist, Development Chemist, Analytical Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Medicinal Chemist, Biochemist, and Process Development Chemist.

Working Arrangement

This is a contract-based, independent role. You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when to work. The work can be done on your own computer, from your home, and on a schedule that suits you.

Compensation

Project work is compensated at hourly rates starting from USD 40 per hour, with some assignments offering higher bonus rates.

Responsibilities

• Pose advanced chemistry questions to AI chatbots and review how they respond.
• Check AI-generated output for accuracy and overall performance.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Careful, detail-focused working style.
• Thorough understanding of general, organic, and physical chemistry.
• A current, completed, or in-progress Master's degree and/or PhD is preferred but not compulsory.

Payment and Eligibility Notes

Payments are processed through PayPal, which also handles any currency conversion from USD. No payment or fee will ever be requested from applicants. Only candidates located in New Zealand will be considered.
