Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site print finishing position at the Rayleigh facility. The successful candidate will operate and care for finishing machinery used to trim, fold, saddle stitch, and pack printed items in line with job instructions.

What the job involves

• Checking job tickets and confirming the work details before production begins.
• Setting up and running finishing equipment for a range of print jobs.
• Carrying out quality inspections to make sure output matches customer and postal requirements.
• Working with the print production and mailing teams to keep schedules on track.
• Identifying and helping resolve basic production or machine issues.
• Keeping the work area tidy, organised, and compliant with safety expectations.
• Making simple machine adjustments and carrying out routine upkeep where needed.
• Supporting packaging and dispatch so finished work leaves on time.

Candidate profile

Applicants should be comfortable working with print finishing tools and equipment, including power tools where appropriate and safely permitted. You should be able to follow structured training, work to defined quality standards, and observe health and safety procedures at all times. Strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret job specifications accurately, and a consistent approach to quality are important. The role also requires physical stamina, good manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for long periods and move materials in a production setting. Clear communication and a cooperative approach within a team are also essential.

Prior experience in print production, finishing, or a similar manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
