Role overview
This position sits within the Policy Governance & Assurance department in Riyadh. The role focuses on strengthening policy governance, maintaining compliance alignment, and supporting the full lifecycle of policies and related manuals/procedures.
Core responsibilities
- Direct policy and MPM reviews to confirm they meet regulatory obligations, internal requirements, and accepted practices.
- Maintain clear policy formatting, classification, definitions, and consistency with the Delegation of Authority framework.
- Run implementation challenge reviews to test practicality, uncover gaps between policy intent and actual execution, and support closure of issues.
- Own regulatory-to-policy mapping and work on closing compliance gaps, overlaps, and associated risks.
- Create and update policy standards, templates, taxonomy, and internal review guidance.
- Assist policy owners in building governance frameworks that are aligned with internal expectations.
- Plan and deliver Policy Effectiveness Reviews and compile outputs for Executive Management and the Board/Board Committees.
- Coordinate policy submissions to Executive Management and Board/Board Committees with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Set standards and review mechanisms for procedure implementation and for keeping policies and procedures aligned.
- Improve governance workflows, internal controls, and the tools/systems that support them.
- Lead policy governance working groups and serve as the main coordination point for stakeholders.
- Manage the central policy library, including versioning, records, publication, and retirement of superseded policies.
- Oversee the end-to-end policy lifecycle, including tracking, approvals, timelines, and effective dates.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders and respond to policy-related questions across the business.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 3 years of experience in policy and procedure development and governance.
- Strong understanding of regulations, ideally CMA, SAMA, or comparable frameworks.
- Proven ability to research and benchmark effectively.
- Deep knowledge of governance and process management practices.
- Well-developed organization, coordination, and project management skills.
- Ability to work closely with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Comfort with data analysis, reporting, and document management.
