Personal Housekeeper

Role Overview

We are hiring a Personal Housekeeper to maintain a private residence in Vancouver, British Columbia. The right person will be highly organized, dependable, self-directed, and committed to delivering outstanding standards of cleanliness, order, and privacy in a home setting.

Key Duties

• Care for assigned spaces, including guest areas and playroom, garage and nearby rooms such as the sports room, recycling room, and mudroom, as well as all stairways, basement areas, entrances, and patios.
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping throughout the designated spaces.
• Clean, maintain, and properly handle furniture, fixtures, and delicate materials.
• Sanitize sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, mirrors, and windows to the required hygiene standard.
• Keep outdoor entryways, covered patios, pool decks, and surrounding exterior areas neat and clean.
• Maintain an orderly and tidy garage.
• Clean the inside and outside of vehicles when requested.
• Help ensure the home remains consistently clean and well organized.
• Respond courteously and professionally to resident questions and service requests.
• Keep cleaning tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Store supplies and equipment in a clean, organized manner.
• Identify and report any maintenance or repair concerns.

Candidate Profile

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is expected; experience in residential homes or hotels is preferred.
• You should be able to work on your own with a strong eye for detail.
• Strong English communication skills and legal authorization to work in Canada are required.
• A criminal record check and background screening are mandatory.
• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning and sanitation products, methods, and techniques is important.
• Experience caring for delicate furnishings and surfaces is an asset.
• You should understand how to use standard cleaning equipment.
• The role requires physical stamina, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• You must be able to lift, push, or pull up to about 35 lbs.
• Availability must be flexible, including weekends and holidays if needed.
• A professional, discreet, and trustworthy manner is essential.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $21 to $25 per hour.
