Role overview
Vancrest Health Care Centers is hiring a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for an on-site role in St Marys, Georgia. The position is designed for someone who wants to contribute to resident well-being and support a care-focused environment. The organization emphasizes compassionate service, timely support, and resident satisfaction.
This is a Weekend Warrior opportunity, which carries a higher pay rate. Base wages begin at $15 and may increase with experience, as determined by the hiring manager.
Sign-on bonus
Qualified hires may receive a sign-on bonus. Full-time employees are eligible for $4,000, and part-time employees are eligible for $2,000.
Key duties
- Provide residents with personal care support while prioritizing quality, compassion, and prompt service.
- Help address residents’ medical needs by delivering nursing support and updating the charge nurse as needed.
- Keep the care setting clean, safe, and comfortable for residents and staff.
- Support residents’ nutrition according to the care plan and communicate concerns to the appropriate director.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
- Support residents with medication-related needs.
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to move throughout the shift, including sitting, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Capability to lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 pounds.
- Willingness to help with resident evacuation when needed.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test.
- STNA certification is not mandatory, though it is preferred.
