About the Role

Mercor works with top creative and technical professionals and pairs them with leading AI research organizations. The company is based in San Francisco and is backed by Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D’Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.

This opening is for HR experts to contribute on a remote contract basis, with a workload of 20 or more hours each week. The compensation range is $60 to $80 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create realistic scenarios covering enterprise-scale talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, and workforce planning for Fortune 500 environments.
  • Develop assignments centered on HRIS platforms used by organizations with roughly 5,000 to 50,000+ employees, such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Build multi-country leave, benefits, and compliance cases that include frameworks such as FMLA, ADA, EU parental leave, and APAC statutory programs.
  • Design complex enterprise compensation structures, including equity, deferred compensation, and executive pay.
  • Produce content related to Fortune 500 DEI initiatives, organizational structure, and people integration during mergers and acquisitions, and create rubrics that clearly separate true enterprise HR judgment from generic advice.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, Total Rewards, or Talent at a Fortune 500 or other large public company, or in a senior HR advisory/executive search firm serving Fortune 500 clients such as Mercer, Aon, WTW, Korn Ferry, Spencer Stuart, or Heidrick & Struggles.
  • Hands-on exposure to enterprise HRIS tools at scale and to multi-country workforce programs.
  • Working knowledge of Fortune 500 compensation approaches, equity programs, and relevant regulatory environments.
  • Experience creating rubrics, training materials, or HR enablement content is preferred.
