Role Overview
Jaipur Rugs is looking for a Payroll Specialist to oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large employee base at its Jaipur, Rajasthan office. The position calls for someone who can manage monthly payroll accuracy, compliance, reporting, and employee support while coordinating closely with HR, Finance, and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the full monthly payroll cycle for approximately 1,200 to 1,500 employees.
- Calculate salaries, wages, overtime, incentives, bonuses, and all applicable deductions with precision.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, and other relevant rules.
- Keep payroll files, employee information, and compensation structures up to date.
- Maintain compliance with central and state labour regulations.
- Support payroll audits and work with both internal and external auditors as needed.
- Prepare payroll summaries, MIS reports, reconciliation statements, and cost-analysis reports.
- Track changes in government schemes, labour reforms, and compliance updates, and implement them appropriately.
- Process full and final settlements, gratuity, bonus payouts, and leave encashment.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters and issue resolution.
- Address employee questions regarding salary components and statutory deductions in a timely manner.
Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on familiarity with payroll software and HRMS platforms.
- Strong grasp of payroll compliance and labour legislation.
- Knowledge of government-related benefits and compliance areas including PF, ESI, gratuity, maternity benefits, and wage code updates.
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Good analytical ability and problem-solving approach.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 to 8+ years of relevant payroll experience.
- Prior experience handling payroll for 1,200 to 1,500 employees is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or a related discipline.
- Additional certification in payroll or labour laws will be considered an added advantage.
