About The Role

A Queensland government organization based in the Brisbane CBD is seeking an experienced A04 Payroll Officer for a temporary contract role. The position is initially until June 30, 2027, with potential for extension. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, acting as a specialist and providing expert advice to the organization.
• Oversee payroll staff, monitor their performance, and manage work and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality payroll services by implementing robust internal controls and maintaining compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement improvements to payroll processes.
• Provide prompt and effective communication and support to employees, management, clients, and external partners.

About You

You are a seasoned Payroll professional with a demonstrated history of reliability and success in previous roles. You possess strong skills in managing high-volume, end-to-end payroll processes and have experience within a government setting. Proficiency with payroll systems is essential.
