This opening is for a Patient Access Scheduler serving Boca Centralized Scheduling in a full-time remote setup, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. What you will do
The selected candidate will handle patient scheduling across a range of services, including diagnostic testing, surgeries, therapy, physician office visits, and other treatments or procedures. The role also involves collecting and confirming demographic and insurance details, registering patients, and entering information into the scheduling platform.
This position is based in a call-center-style environment and requires ongoing attention to individual quality standards. The work must be performed in line with the organization’s service philosophy, delivering professional, caring, and courteous support to patients, families, employees, physicians, and community members.
Compensation
The estimated hourly pay for this role is $17.27 to $21.93, depending on experience.
Required qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma, certificate, GED, training, or equivalent experience. The role requires successful completion of the Patient Access training course. Applicants should be comfortable in a high-volume, fast-moving environment, able to do basic math, and maintain accuracy while staying organized and detail-focused.
Strong teamwork, compassion, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills are important. Experience with common computer tools such as Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and accurate typing is preferred. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and coverage rules, including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare medical necessity guidelines, is also valuable. Bilingual ability in English with Spanish or Creole is preferred.
