Role overview
Leidos Australia is hiring several Network Administrators for its AGO GEO SPACES program in a secure government setting. The role focuses on keeping data and voice networks installed, configured, maintained, and operating reliably so essential services remain stable, secure, and available.

Key duties
- Look after network infrastructure equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points to support availability and performance.
- Handle Level 2 and Level 3 support for outages and complicated connectivity problems, reducing interruption to operations.
- Apply network security controls, administer firewall rules, and monitor activity to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Set up network devices and keep topology, configuration, and process records accurate and current.
- Track network performance, find congestion or bottlenecks, and improve capacity and overall health where needed.
What you need to succeed
- Sound knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
- Practical experience with enterprise networking platforms like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot firewall and other network security devices.
- Experience using monitoring and packet-analysis tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds to investigate and resolve difficult network issues.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open only to Australian citizens who hold an active TSPV security clearance and can obtain a DISA/OSA clearance successfully. Applicants who meet most of the criteria are still encouraged to apply. The recruitment process includes two interviews, background checks, and DISA/OSA screening. Candidates may also need to satisfy ITAR requirements, which can restrict some dual nationals, permanent residents, and former nationals of certain countries under ITAR 126.1.
